PLAN YOUR VISIT

We know that visiting a new church can be scary. What should I wear? How do I get there? Where do I park? Where do I go? What are the people like? This page is dedicated to helping you answer a few of those questions. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact us and let us know how we can help you feel more at home.

When are your services?

We meet on Saturdays (different, huh?). Sabbath School begins at 10:00 AM. The Worship Service begins at 11:00 AM.

What should I wear?

At the Edmond Church you will find people wearing all types of dress, from casual to formal and everything in between. Don't be anxious. Just wear what makes you feel most comfortable.

How do I get there?

We are located in Edmond, Oklahoma (a suburb north of Oklahoma City) at the intersection of I-35 and Danforth Rd.

Where do I park?

There is abundant parking on the west and south sides of the church. Look for our main entrance on the west side of the church. There is a covered drop-off area and a greeter will be waiting for you at the door!

Where do I go?

As you enter through the main entrance of the church the Worship Center is to your right and the restrooms, classrooms, and dining room are to your left in the Discipleship Center.

What are the people like?

This is the most important question people have because, after all, the church is the people. At the Edmond Church you will find lots of kids, families, and older folks as well. We enjoy life together. Many of us are professionals who are very involved in our careers. We get together outside of regular church events to watch Oklahoma City Thunder games, go camping, eat at our favorite restaurants, and play golf.

What is the service like?

First of all, it's okay if you're running late. No one is going to look at you funny when you walk in the door. The first thing we do is share church announcements to let the congregation know what's happening throughout the week, followed by a children's story for the little ones.

Next, we sing some songs to draw us into a spirit of worship and awareness of God. The songs we sing are classic hymns and contemporary praise & worship songs. Usually the words of the songs are projected onto the large screens at the front. We also provide hymnals if you prefer to read sheet music. The service continues with readings from the Bible, an offering appeal, and a challenging, uplifting, and life-applicable message from our pastor or one of our elders. The service usually ends by 12:30 PM.

After the service, people tend to mingle throughout the church to enjoy each other's company and pray with one another. Each week (except when there is a 5th Saturday in a month) after the Worship Service we enjoy a special potluck fellowship luncheon, prepared especially for our guests.

Is there something for my kids?

Children's Sabbath School begins at 10:00 AM on Saturdays. There are fun, creative, Bible-based classes for all ages. There is also a Children's Story during the Worship Services and the Wee Church room for parents with infants and small children. All in all, we think your kid will have a blast learning about Jesus (and meeting new friends) at the Edmond Church!
